Mending Wall honors a tradition of simple winemaking, showcasing the depth of flavor and quality fruit found in the coveted Napa Valley. The lucky winner of this lot will add three large format, powerhouse Cabernets from Mending Wall's most recent release to their cellar.

While the Godward Vineyard name might not be very well known in most collectors' minds, it has consistently produced some of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon for over 20 years. Showcasing aromatic notes of cherry skin, pomegranate, crushed rock and mocha, this wine's fine tannin framework and mouth-watering acidity consistent throughout the long finish tie everything together.

Year after year, the Oakville Ranch Vineyard Cabernet offers a bold and dynamic expression of site and climate that is quite beguiling. In warmer years such as 2022, the concentration, fruit density, and structure almost seem to defy reason. In the glass, this wine exhibits a completely opaque dark purple with a plum halo on the periphery. Aromatic notes suggest loam, ground mint leaf, boysenberry and baker's chocolate. Rich notes of cassis reduction, iron, pine bough, and violet oil.

Deep red-fruit with supple spice undertones and a crisp minerality accurately expresses Tournahu's gravelly vineyard site. The 2022 Cabernet is a sophisticated, balanced wine with a fine tannin structure. The front of the palate expresses rich fruit notes framed by pleasing acidity, finishing with breathy floral notes.

Nestled in the scenic foothills of Howell Mountain, the team at Mending Wall invites four guests to join them for a behind the scenes look at their winemaking process and to explore their portfolio of limited-production wines, handcrafted by acclaimed winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown. Each guest will leave with a bottle of their flagship Napa Valley Cabernet to commemorate your time at the winery.
