The story of Jayson begins with friends gathered around a table.

In 1993, Jayson Pahlmeyer invited three of Napa Valley's most storied winemakers, Helen Turley, Bob Levy, and Randy Dunn, to the Pahlmeyer blending table to assess the lots from his 1992 vintage. As the four tasted and blended, the results in the glass inspired them to showcase a more intimate, approachable expression of the Pahlmeyer pedigree. Ultimately, they created a wine that possessed a soulfulness and suppleness ready to enjoy in the moment - and "Jayson" was born.

Today, Winemaker Katie Vogt continues the spirit of that legendary table. She seeks out select blocks within the Pahlmeyer mountain vineyard portfolio that possess the signature character of Jayson: rich and lively, with elevated aromatics and gorgeous texture. Katie then blends these lots with a complementing spectrum of extraordinary foothill and valley floor vineyards that are farmed and crafted by exacting Pahlmeyer standards.

Every meticulous decision culminates in a wine that is intentionally Jayson: opulent, complex, and built to enjoy upon release.
