Based on the famous painting "The Garden of France" by Max Ernst, Dmytro depicts Hidropark in Kyiv,
surrounded by the Dnieper and Rusanivska river through a surrealist lens. In the greek mythology, "Hydra" is a many-headed serpent or monster in that was slain by Hercules and each head of which when cut off was replaced by two others- it also represents a persistent trouble. Painted in the aftermath of Russia's 2014 invasion of Ukraine, Dmytro's work subtly reflects the enduring threat posed by Russia, symbolizing its ongoing attempts to destroy Ukraine's land, culture, and history.
