Audrey Zinman's fanciful decoupage sculptures are a visual symphony of vivid colors, patterns, and forms that bring new life to the found objects she selects as her canvas. Of her creations, she notes "The power of images has always intrigued me. I am enamored with color, design and spatial relationships and decoupage offers the perfect medium to express my creativity. I describe my technique as "painting with paper" and am always hunting for interesting images, objects, and papers to incorporate into my work--composing the elements into a unified whole. I work with many different surfaces but found objects are a favorite as I like to see them reborn and repurposed. My works are a fantasy world filled with color and movement, and I dream of jumping into them!" This untitled sculpture was created using wood sourced from the Bedford Golf and Tennis Club as an homage to the beauty and mystery of the local landscape.
