This golf course was originally designed in 1894 by Lawrence Van Etten and measured some 5,300 yards. A neighboring property was purchased at the urging of A.W. Tillinghast who had been retained to redesign the course in 1925. Tillinghast was replaced a year later by Seth Raynor, who died before the course was completed. To finish Raynor's work, his protege, Charles Banks took over in 1927. All three are given credit for the current design of the course. The course begins with a flourish and culminates with an amazing par 4 18th hole. But that's not all. There's a stunning short par-three 19th hole at Knollwood for unresolved swing thoughts or to settle up.

One year national membership:

Donor/Winner, their significant other, and any children living in the home under the age of 23 will enjoy full membership benefits to all seven Dormie Network properties for 12 months. After their 12-month trial period is over, the donor/winner will then have the opportunity to continue on with Dormie Network as a dues paying member and will never pay an initiation deposit. The value of the annual membership is $32k ($20k initiation fee, $12k annual dues)
