Kim Shattuck and Melanie Vammen's friendship goes back to the 1980s and is woven into their various bands: The Pandoras, The Muffs, and The Coolies. They started their #MelanieAndKimMonday in 2018 when Kim was sick with ALS, she lost her battle on October 2, 2019, and Melanie has since carried on their tradition.
