Lore: Kunzite is famous for its range of colors from pale pink to intense purple and every shade in between. It was first found and is named after Tiffany & Co's famed turn-of-the-century gemologist, George Frederich Kunz.

Kunzite is loved for its crystal clear-like appearance and dramatic blade-like rough crystal shape. It is known for giving the wearer a joyful energy, connecting the heart and mind in balance. Kunzite is known as the "evening gemstone" because its color can fade with exposure to strong light. Primary sources include Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, Mozambique, Pakistan, California, and Maine. Kunzite is often heated to improve its color.

All gems have GIA and IJA Grading reports. For further inquiry on gemstones and to view them personally, please contact Sara Commers, Private Certified Bench Jeweler at 612-339-7777.
