3Enjoy "A Taste of Chile: Savoring Culinary Wonders for a Cause" a unique dining experience that spans the country of Chile's culinary wonders paired with Chilean wine. Your dining experience will begin with an appetizer of Empanadas de Pino, savory pastries filled with a mixture of ground beef, onions, raisins, olives and hard-boiled eggs and paired with Santa Ema Amplus Cabernet Sauvignon. Followed by a main course of Pastel de Choclo, a traditional corn casserole made with ground beef, sautéed onions, olives, raisins, and hard boiled eggs, topped with a layer of creamy corn puree paired with Cono Sur Barrels Pinot Noir and a side dish of Pebre, a fresh salsa made with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, garlic, and chili peppers paired with Matetic EQ Coastal Sauvignon Blanc. Ending with dessert consisting of Leche Asada, a simple baked custurd made with milk, sugar and eggs and paired with Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc and the entire meal will be served with Mote con Huessillos, a refreshing drink made with dried peached and wheat berries simmered with sugar and cinnamon enjoyed on it's own or paired with a light sparkling wine. Your taste buds will surely be delighted!
The dinner will take place at the Ledyard home of Ivan & Naomi Otterness on April 25, 2025, 6-8pm. Limited to 12 people.
