Double Spouted Horse/Human Teapot with Dog Stopper by Adelaide Paul clay, glaze and underglaze, 11.5 x 8 x 6 inches, circa 1990s. Adelaide Paul is a sculptor residing in Philadelphia, PA. She earned her BFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 1993, and her MFA from Louisiana State University in 1996. Her work is concerned with investigating the relationships between domesticated animals and humans. This double spouted piece is a sculptural vessel in the shape of two red horses with blue dots and manes brought together by the image of a nude male and detachable dog stopper.
