1940 Etching of "Curiosity Shop No. 2" signed by the artist, A. A. Blum. The artwork captures a detailed street scene with architectural elements, figures, and an array of antique objects, showcasing Blum's skill in rendering intricate details and textures through the etching technique.
Alexander A. Blum (1889-1969) was born in Budapest and brought to the United States as a child. He trained at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the National Academy of Design in New York, the Cincinnati art academy, and abroad. His etchings hang in the National Gallery of Art and Congressional Library in Washington, DC; Metropolitan Museum; Boston Museum; and more than thirty other important collections.
