Hi everyone!
Camp ministry has been a massive part of my life and is something I'm very passionate about! I fondly remember my experiences as a camper, junior counselor, and staff member at Camp Lakeview/Lakeview Villages. In many ways, my experiences at camp have shaped me into the person I am today, even leading me to become a high school teacher and church worker!
Camp has had the same lasting impact on 100s of kids who go every summer! Sadly, some kids may not have the resources to be able to attend camp. That is why Lakeview has so graciously created a scholarship program to help support kids who may not be able to experience camp.
To help support camp, I'm participating in the Labor Day 5k from a distance here in Colorado. The money of this fundraiser will help to provide kids with the opportunity to experience deep community, life spent unplugged and outside, and the hope of Jesus Christ! My goal is to raise $500 - enough to send one kid to camp for a week.
