At Cocina Consuelo, the warmth and comfort of home, meets the rich and vibrant flavors of Mexico. This collaboration was a labor or love for Chef husband and wife team, Karina Garcia and Eduardo "Lalo" Rodriguez. Meeting while working in another (now closed) restaurant, the couple began slinging incredible tacos from their apartment in Harlem for friends and family during the pandemic - and word quickly spread. Soon afterwards, the incredibly popular Cocina Consuelo was born.

Within the vibrantly-colored walls of their walk-in only 400 square foot restaurant, you will enjoy a menu that includes all hand-made dishes, that are fresh and fabulous. Enjoy guacamole and tostados, tortitas de Calabaza (zucchini cakes with quest fresco), Mole Negro (Long Island crescent farm duck with mole sauce and crema), or maybe try their aguachile catch of the day. Whatever you choose, you'll experience rich, unique flavors and seasonal ingredients, in a space that is overflowing with charm, live music from the on-site piano, laughter, and loads of love.
