Keith Haring (1958-1990) is one of the most widely recognized and celebrated artists and activists of the 20th century. His unique pop art style is instantly recognizable and iconic. Prior to his death in 1990, the artist established the Keith Haring Foundation to perpetuate his artistic and philanthropic legacy with a vision for preserving and circulating his work, for liberating access to his art, and providing grants for children in need and those affected by HIV/AIDS.

A Piece of Art Tea Service was a limited-edition series, a 1991 collaboration between the estate of the artist and esteemed ceramics manufacturer Villeroy & Boch.
