"County & Township Map of the State of Kansas and Nebraska." From A New General Atlas. Philadelphia: S. A. Mitchell, Jr. (1874)

A few examples seen in this map showing the evolution of the Kansas Counties include: Davis County which became Geary County in 1888; Foote County which became part of Ford and Finney Counties in 1881; Sequoya County becoming Haskell County in 1888; and the eastern portion of Wallace County which became Logan County in 1885.

This Hand colored lithographic map measures 23 x 15 inches and is professionally framed in a lovely wood frame. Color wash and stronger outline remain bright. There is slight darkening along the edges, though overall this copy is in very good condition. Frame is without flaw.
