Fund-A-Need: Help us make RockRose Ranch Accessible to All!

RockRose has allowed HCR to expand program offerings and develop additional partnerships in the community. In the first year of this multi-year project, we've worked with the Stanford Alumni Consulting Team, as well as with architects and landscape designers, to develop a plan for program and site development. In the second year of this project, funds will allow us to break ground on ADA-accessibility renovations and help us to continue expanding the programs we offer to serve a wide range of individuals and families who can benefit from the healing power of horses.

About our Annual Dinner and Silver Buckle Award

To celebrate our progress and continued journey, our Annual Fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the Rancho Nicasio Restaurant in Nicasio, Ca.

Buckles & Bling, our signature event, offers guests an opportunity to socialize with friends, enjoy fine food and wine, and learn more about our mission and accomplishments. The excitement begins weeks before the event with an online auction, followed by silent and live auctions on the day of the event, featuring unique items such as exclusive travel experiences, fine wines, and more!

Proceeds from the event support our mission by helping us expand our therapeutic horseback riding and equine-assisted therapy programs. This allows us to serve even more individuals in unique, impactful ways in the beautiful Nicasio countryside. Additionally, the funds will aid our continued ADA accessibility efforts at our newest location, RockRose Ranch.

This year, we are excited to honor Jacob Rock with our Silver Buckle Award. Jacob, a 20-year-old nonverbal autistic young man from Eagle Rock, California, composed a 70-minute symphony called Unforgettable Sunrise in collaboration with Rob Laufer.

Join us to hear Jacob's story and celebrate him for the work he's doing to inspire others to live a life without barriers!

About Halleck Creek Ranch

For 47 years, HCR has improved the lives of people with disabilities through therapeutic horseback riding and other equine-assisted activities. Using interaction between horses and humans as a conduit for physical, emotional and mental development, our programs promote independence, self-esteem, problem solving skills, and the development of social and life skills in a supportive environment.

Located in West Marin, our program pairs gentle horses with trained staff and volunteers, and amid breathtaking landscapes we promote a "life without barriers." As a non-profit, we rely on the support of our community to enable us to offer our services to the broadest group of people possible.
