Get ready to make your mark on Catherine Cook history! Join us in continuing a beloved tradition of bringing local artistry to our school. This year, we're thrilled to unveil a vibrant new mural, designed by Luis Ramirez, a talented Chicago artist and proud Catherine Cook parent!
Imagine a captivating scene, right inside Catherine Cook at the North Park Alley Entrance, depicting the beautiful bond of an adult reading to a child. This heartwarming image will greet everyone entering our school, from first-time visitors to students rushing to lunch or gathering in the library.
But here's where it gets exciting: the winner of this special opportunity will not just witness the creation of this masterpiece, they'll become a part of it! You'll get to participate in a portion of the painting process, connect directly with Luis Ramirez, ask him questions about his inspiration and techniques, and add a personal touch by choosing a thematic "easter egg" that will be forever embedded in the mural's design.
And that's not all! Your name, along with your family's, will be proudly displayed on a plaque permanently placed near this stunning piece of art.
Don't miss this incredible chance to contribute to the beauty of our school and leave a lasting legacy!
