This original painting is one of a series of 10 created for the municipality of Milan, and was exhibited at the Triennale di Milano (Milan Museum of Modern Art). Between 2022 and 2024, it was displayed in large format on walls in various parts of the city.

Donatella selected this piece for our auction as it shares our brand colors and we also love it because it shares a common spirit of optimism and hope.

About the artist:

Hailing from the island of Sardinia, Donatella Murru currently resides in Milan, Italy where she has won multiple awards and many of her works have been displayed at the Triennale di Milano (Milan Museum of Modern Art) and in large format around the city.

Donatella's work carries a passion for her home of Sardinia which is reflected across in the birds, colors, and animals that inhabit her pieces. She believes everyone has art within them, and it's a matter of knowing oneself truly to unlock their art which may express itself in many different ways.
