Piece Description: Using a wide range of materials, this painting shows the famous musical artist, Drake. Because of Drake's diverse musical resume, something that brought multiple features of his musical story together needed to be produced. Over 12 colors, along with the layered lettered wood on top, were established to make this artwork stand out. The combination of imagery used from both albums, "CLB" and "Nothing Was the Same" was used to make the painting more engaging, and allows viewers to reminisce back to his older songs, which to this day, so many people have love and admiration for.

Alex has been engaged in developing the realm of pop and contemporary art portraiture based on his everyday experiences. His artwork combines old materials with new technology to explore the evolution of the collective unconscious. By using vibrant and contrasting colors, Alex strives to offer a unique representation of famous and idol-like figures that have influenced me as a young adult.
