Influenced by the concept of infinity, nightscapes, and the politics of black color, my artistic journey began in the vibrant village of Velur near Thrissur, Kerala. Using Indian ink, I explore themes of identity, memory, and cultural narratives. My drawings merge the starkness of black with intricate details, creating a dialogue around the societal and historical significance of black color. Childhood stories infused with magic blossomed into dreams that shaped my creative expression. My canvases merge ancestral myths, oracle chants, and vivid imagery from oriental performing arts, blending folk music and rhythmic drumming into the stark lines and strokes of my art.

I was born in Velur in 1980 and nurtured my talent under the guidance of Mr. Velur Johnson. My passion for painting led me to Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady, and later to the Government R.L.V College of Music and Fine Arts, where I completed my MFA. Financial challenges marked my journey, but during my MFA studies, Dr. Daphne Rumball from the UK purchased one of my paintings, which provided the financial support needed to continue my course.

My works have evolved, drawing inspiration from childhood memories, village myths, and historical reflections. I participated in several national and international art workshops and exhibitions, including the World Art Dubai 2022, where I participated as a solo artist, gaining significant media attention. My art has been featured in international art magazines and exhibitions, such as "The Butterfly Effect" in Greece in 2023, curated by Kostas Prapoglou.

In 2014, I received the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, a turning point that helped me overcome financial challenges and brought more attention to my art. My large-scale work, "Travelogue of Dreams from the Eternal to Eternity," marked a milestone in my career, showcasing intricate details and textures.

I live and work in my village, Velur, Thrissur.
