This rare Sensenich Brothers DES 70LY34 wooden propeller is a fixed-pitch model made from aircraft-grade birch and laminated using resorcinol glue. It has a pitch of 34 inches and is designed for use with Lycoming O-145-B2 65 hp engines, typically found in aircraft like the coveted Piper Cub J3L65 and J4L65; the Aeronca L3G, L3H, 65TL, or 65LA; and the Taylor Craft BF65, BF1265, DL65, or BL1265. This propeller was manufactured between 1934-1942 and has the original fabric covering at the tips and brass edging, which has aged to a beautiful patina. The Sensenich Brothers winged logo is present on both blades. There is the normal wear and tear evident that you would expect from an 80+ year old antique! This is a beautiful addition to your office, den, game room, or man cave wall. Don't miss out on this vintage gem. Generously donated by Buzz Gibbs. Winner must pick up this item from the Museum.
