0This Mercury Seven color lithograph is a signed, limited edition collector's piece. The Mercury Seven were Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, John Glenn, Deke Slayton, Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, and Gordon Cooper. This poster is hand-signed in pencil by six of the seven Project Mercury astronauts.. Gus Grissom did not have the opportunity to participate in the signing, having died tragically in 1967 in the fire that consumed the Apollo 1 team during a pre-flight simulation. Instead, his wife Betty Grissom signed the lithograph in his memory. The lithograph is in great condition; the paper is healthy with no tears and with only minor fading to colors. The signatures at the bottom in pencil are verified original signatures, not copies or autopen reproductions. The foundation issued two limited editions of the lithograph.: one edition of 25 prints and a second edition of 1,500 prints. This lithograph is number "1178/1500" and artfully presented, meeting conservation standards with UV glass and a custom-built wooden frame. Framed Dimensions are 35 1/4"H x 44 1/2"W x 1"D. Winner must pick up this item from the Museum.
