From Artist, Nancy Raia, "I paint mostly in acrylics, I love vibrant color and capturing Mother Nature in her glory. If I can feel something upon seeing it, I want to paint it. The estuaries and marshlands all around our Mobile Bay are full of so many species and new life supporting the greater bodies of water beyond it. When I teach children about our connection to the waters we share with so many species, with biologists leading that lecture, I always remember Angela Underwood of Weeks Bay saying " The estuaries are the nursery for the ocean, many species come in close to the land and lay eggs where they are in a safer environment".

So I imagine that those marsh grasses are full of potential to raise up so many birds, fish, small mammals, and more. They are teeming with life, and the shoots of flowers popping up sort of say " Hey looky here, bees!"

To me, this landscape is soothing, constantly growing and returning new life and hope. They battle the storms and start growing again, all in support of all of us. See the trees standing in support of those needing higher ground.
Nature replenishes my soul, God has such a beautiful garden on the water. I am grateful to be able to share my heart on canvas from viewing this spectacular habitat. May you feel the love and be renewed as well.
