For more than 15 years, the stoma micro-screw has been used successfully and reliably by a large number of speakers, specialized users and beginners due to the simple and safe handling. Stoma / Storz am Mark developed the stoma micro-screw with Prof. Dr. Fouad Khoury. After that, Stoma / Storz am Mark patented the stoma micro-screw in Germany and has been producing it since then. Since 2009 the stoma micro-screw is successfully established on the market and internationally registered, also in the USA. The stoma micro-screw offers extended application possibilities due to the small diameter of the screw head, but at the same time high stability due to the special steel alloy, even with a reduced diameter of 1.0 mm and 1.2 mm. The bone screw is available in lengths from 4 to 14 mm and ensures easy and safe handling. New screws in lengths of 9 / 11 / 13 mm are the perfect solution to ensure that no screw protrudes. Thanks to its thread structure, it enables secure fixation even with very fine bone grafts. Due to the special material, no osseointegration occurs, making the screws easy to remove after bone regeneration. Only the stoma micro-screw made the bone shell technique possible, which is now known worldwide. It proves to be particularly beneficial for small and thin cortical bone graft transplants, also called shells. In addition, the stoma micro-screw shows its efficiency in very narrow spaces, e.g. single tooth defects, where space restraints make the use of traditional bone fixation screws impossible. The stoma micro-screw is thus used in various augmentation techniques, such as lateral and horizontal bone augmentation, as well as 3D bone augmentation via tunnel technique. It's ideal for those who work in the area of bone management and want to further specialize in it. The complete set is equipped with 18 screws in 1.0 and 1.2 mm diameters, in the most common lengths of 6, 8 and 10 mm and 2 matching drill bits. It contains a simple screwdriver and a screwdriver with gripper. The working end of both screwdriver variants already holds the screw securely in the inner square of the screw head. The gripper provides you additional safety in hard-to-reach areas. Users who already own a micro-screw kit can easily upgrade it to add the new intermediate lengths of 9 / 11 / 13 mm.
