The fourth annual Hope Ball of Mississippi exclusively raises funds for the Gertrude C. Ford Hope Lodge. The Hope Ball has quickly become one of the premier social events in the Jackson area. This distinctive evening will open with a signature cocktail hour and carefully curated silent auction, followed by a seated dinner of chef-created specialties. Guests will also enjoy a moving and informative presentation and unique entertainment, plus a few special surprises, as we come together in celebration of our collective efforts to raise money to further the mission of the American Cancer Society.
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Mississippi, so the time to join the fight is now. In our state alone, the American Cancer Society estimates nearly 20,000 new cancer cases will be diagnosed this year, and more than 6,000 of those newly diagnosed cancer patients will lose their lives to this deadly disease. Our goal is to improve these numbers by increasing patient access to quality healthcare, treatment, and support services. Cancer does not stop, and neither should our efforts in finding a cure and providing essential care and services.
Our local Hope Lodge provides clean, safe, and FREE housing, along with transportation to nearby clinics and treatment centers. For Mississippians who must travel away from home to receive cancer treatment, staying at the Hope Lodge means they don't have to choose between paying for a hotel or paying for lifesaving care. Every single dollar you donate to Hope Ball will help ensure that these vital services will continue to be available to cancer patients in our Jackson community and beyond for years to come.
