The artist will create a custom landscape painting (watercolor or acrylic, or mixed media as you wish) inspired by a photo or scene you provide. Marie will consult with you to deliver a custom work in her creative abstract style that captures the essence of a space that is meaningful to you.

About the artist:
My childhood works were not displayed on the family refrigerator. Instead, I wrote stories. I loved using words to paint a picture. As a professional writer, however, I eventually bumped up against the limitations of language, and realized how pictures could enhance my writing.
So I taught myself to draw and paint, taking the occasional class, and appreciating the accidental masterpieces created through trial and error.
I paint moderately abstract landscapes, mostly in acrylics and watercolors that take me to the places I love: the view from my home on the Snake River in Pine City, MN, wide prairies seen on bike rides, and mountain scenes in the Alps. My goal is to apply pleasing colors and textures that capture the essence of a place. As a result, people looking at my work recall their own experiences and journeys and express the emotional connection those memories evoke.
