"For the past seven years, I've been working with curators at historic homes and museums to reveal alternative accounts in their permanent collections. Through site-specific paintings and curatorial context, I place my work in direct dialogue with the spaces and objects of the period I'm painting. These projects have expanded into immersive installations and interactive public artworks. These works were created for Shadows Searching for Light, at Edward Hopper House Museum in Nyack, New York. The project helped illuminate narratives around Jo Nivison Hopper, Edward's wife and model, who was a successful artist in her own right."
Artist in Residence, 2012
