DOROTHY TUMA, a native Nebraskan, is best known for her black and white architectural photographs. She attended the University Nebraska-Lincoln and received a theology degree from Creighton University. Recently she has turned to fabric art to recreate her artistic visions. She enjoys the tactile creation process, working in abstract form on fabric as the canvas with various techniques. Her art has appeared in group shows in Omaha, Lincoln, Fremont, Norfolk, and Nebraska City, Nebraska, Fredericksburg, Virginia, Washington, DC, Hartford, Connecticut, San Antonio, Texas, and Los Angeles, CA. She is a past president of Omaha Artists, Inc. Her photography and textile art has appeared in local, national, and international publications; she has received numerous awards for her art.
