Omaha-based artist CAMILLE HAWBAKER VOORHEES uses a variety of "craft" traditions from printmaking, book arts, and textile arts to create mixed-media works. These pieces generally explore the perpetual nature of change within inherited systems of thought. Her award-winning work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the Joslyn Art Museum (Omaha, Nebraska), the Museum of Nebraska Art (Kearney, Nebraska), and the Ibrahim Mueteferrika Paper Museum (Yalova, Turkey). Her work is in numerous private and public collections, including the Sheldon Museum of Art (Lincoln, Nebraska) and the Zuckerman Museum of Art (Kennesaw, Georgia). Camille studied printmaking at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and she completed her MFA at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2014. She has been an artist-in-residence at the School of Art, Art History, and Design at UNL and was an award-winning instructor of record in studio art at universities and colleges in Nebraska.
