Honoring George McCrimlisk and The Green Foundation
The oldest of 10 children, George grew up in Mahwah, NJ. After graduating from Don Bosco Prep, George attended Rutgers on a golf scholarship, where he also earned his Master's Degree in Accounting. After graduation, George briefly worked for
a local accounting firm before joining Peat Marwick in New York, where he spent the greater part of his professional career, working in the New York, Houston and Los Angeles offices. George runs a successful financial accounting and advisory firm
in Pasadena and manages The Green Foundation. While George and his wife Kathleen spend most of their time in Los Angeles, they spend time with family - daughters Julie and Maddy, and George's many siblings - in New York and at the
New Jersey Shore.
George has been a friend of Malta House since 2006 when he met Michael O'Rourke in Ireland at a golf outing to benefit Malta House. Since that time, the Green Foundation has donated over $385,000 to Malta House and George has been a trusted advisor on our major fundraising efforts. The Green Foundation | In 2002, Leonard Green passed away, leaving George to start and then manage The Green Foundation. In 2004, George funded The Green Foundation with $43 million
from Leonard Green's estate, and after $130 million in philanthropic gifts and investment portfolio growth, the Foundation
is now a $200 million organization, gifting at least $8 million annually to a large variety of philanthropies.
