You Can Build It - Woodworking Project with Mr. Begeman

Mr. Begeman learned how to build wood furniture when he was in high school and now has a small business building custom furniture and home improvement projects for indoor and outdoor use.
This teacher treasure will be catered to the experience level and project interest of the student (within reason). If a student is new to building, we can start with a wooden tool box, cutting board, bird/owl box, coat rack (or a project of interest to the student). We can scale the project up to a night stand or indoor/outdoor bench based on the prior experience of the student.

This project could entail using a hammer, nails, screws, wood glue, hand saws, a variety of power tools, and exposure to wood finishes. Safety measures will be taken and instruction of how to use all tools will be provided. Some power tools will be off limits for students based on the project needs.

Parent/Guardians are welcome to chaperone and/or assist with the project.
Location and time of building the project will be determined based on the project plan.

**If you have a piece of furniture your family would like to refurbish and give new life, this can be discussed**

Agreed upon day in April or May.

Student with siblings. Family can assist with building project.

This treasure is for students in 6th grade or higher.
