A donation of $2,500 will help get VSC to our Collaborative Fundraising goal of $50,000.
Four years ago, when the world shut down, the leaders of the four major arts organizations in Norfolk worked together keep us all afloat during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This collaborative effort was the first of its kind here, and together, we raised $2 million.
This collaborative effort helped us to weather that storm.
COVID-19 fundamentally changed the arts, and today, we face a different kind of storm: subscriptions are down, production costs continue to rise, and people have grown accustomed to sitting at home alone with their streaming services instead of coming together for the arts.
To face this new storm, the four major arts organizations have decided to collaborate again, this time with the goal of raising $1 million.
Through the generous support of donors like you, we have reached $600,000.
An anonymous donor has offered a dollar to dollar match at $200,000, that match relies on all of us raising the $200,000 that gets us to $1 million.
So VSC needs to raise $50,000 in new donations before the end of June.
