The National Beauty Industry (NBI) has a tradition of caring that unites professionals from across the country.
For over 35 years, the National Beauty Industry (previously the National Professional Salon Industry Group) has been committed to supporting the critical and lifesaving work of the doctors and researchers of City of Hope. Founded in 1981 by Jack Stork of Chicagoland Hairdressers Magazine and Sandra Garfield of h•a•i•r international, it's a tradition of caring that unites executives, professionals and colleagues from all over the country and every segment of the salon industry.

The Spirit of Life  Award gala holds a tradition of recognizing and honoring an outstanding leader for his or her contribution to business and community, recognizing an individual for their worthy efforts but also provides an opportunity for the industry as a whole to unite in a common effort for City of Hope.
