We warmly invite you to join us at The Benefit for Greenwich Hospital, taking place on September 27, 2024, at Greenwich Country Club. Greenwich Hospital's annual event takes on special meaning this year as we celebrate the incredible progress of our Arc of Care Campaign, honor devoted supporters, Icy and Scott Frantz and beloved physicians, Shruti Gupta, MD, and Romelle Maloney, MD.

With the help of our devoted friends and supporters, Greenwich Hospital celebrated the public launch of its $125 million Campaign at last year's Benefit, ushering in a new era of philanthropy. This year we are delighted to commemorate incredible Campaign progress made possible by community investments within Behavioral Health, Children's Health, Heart & Vascular, Oncology, and Neuroscience. As we continue to look forward, Benefit 2024 will support these key growth areas.

The contributions of our honorees touch our patients and their families every day. We hope you can join us in celebrating them, our campaign progress, and our vision for the future.

LUMINATE HEALTH AND MEDICINE AWARDEES: Icy and Scott Frantz

Icy and Scott Frantz are the inaugural recipients of the Greenwich Hospital Luminate Health and Medicine Award as we recognize their invaluable partnership, visionary leadership, deep dedication and transformational philanthropy.

Long-standing champions of our work, the Frantz family has played a central role in the campaigns that built the current hospital, and the Arc of Care Campaign - helping achieve critical progress and important milestones, most recently within the area of Children's Health. Their passion for elevating many causes and organizations close to their hearts has had, and continues to have, an indelible impact on countless lives.

As lifelong Greenwich residents, the Frantz family have a long history of service. Together, and individually, they serve or have served on a multitude of organization boards.

Before returning to the private sector, Scott completed a decade of service in the Connecticut State Senate and is currently Chairman and CEO of Haebler Capital. He has served as Chairman of the Connecticut Development Authority, Board Chairman of Bradley International Airport, and Chairman of the Connecticut Brownfields Redevelopment Authority. He is the recipient of many special recognitions for his civic and community work, including the Corporate Angel Award for providing transportation to cancer patients and the Courage to Change Award from Greenwich Hospital in recognition of his work to establish the Arch Street Teen Center, an organization that Icy chaired for four years.

Icy has served on numerous school boards and committees; is the author of Sargeant's Heaven, a book to help children process loss; is a regular columnist for Greenwich Sentinel; and authors the blog, The Icing on the Cake. Icy is a Greenwich RTM member and the Vice Chair of her district. The pair both serve on Greenwich Hospital's Arc of Care Campaign Leadership Council.

The Frantz family's intersection with Greenwich Hospital spans generations, ranging from the poignantly personal to many examples of how volunteerism, leadership and philanthropy can shape the local healthcare landscape.

As they are so often considered guiding lights, we are honored to present our first Luminate Health and Medicine Award to Icy and Scott Frantz - a testament not only to their support of our growth, but a statement of gratitude from their community.

 PHYSICIAN HONOREE: Shruti Gupta, MD

As the medical director of Greenwich Hospital's NICU, a neonatologist at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, and an associate professor of pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Gupta has a profound impact on countless newborns, families, and medical students.

Her passion for helping our most fragile patients extends far beyond the NICU. In addition to Dr. Gupta's work in neonatology, she specializes in breastfeeding medicine, with a focus on mothers of preterm babies. Dr. Gupta's research spurred the creation of a novel follow-up care program for families when they transition from NICU to home. She has garnered numerous honors, most recently the Yale Department of Pediatrics ACE Award.

We honor Dr. Gupta for her empathetic care of babies and their families -- always looking to provide expertise and support during their NICU stay and beyond.

 PHYSICIAN HONOREE: Romelle Maloney, MD

Since becoming an OB/GYN 30-plus years ago, Dr. Maloney has practiced medicine with the overarching goal of empowering women. "Women are the gatekeepers of the family," she says. "Educating women about their health is very important to me."

She is Medical Director for the Westchester Greenwich Region at Northeast Medical Group, which is part of the Yale New Haven Health System, and a staff physician at Greenwich Hospital. In addition to having chaired several hospital committees, Dr. Maloney is passionate about giving back to the greater community - serving on numerous nonprofit Boards. Known as an advocate for women of all ages and ethnicities, she has received many honors, including the Fairfield County Doctor of Distinction Female Trailblazer Award and the Physician Partner in Care Award.

For her advocacy, compassionate care, expertise, and deep commitment to the community we honor Dr. Maloney.
