Richard Notkin is a world-renowned ceramicist who lives in Vaughn. With a powerful combination of intellect and technical prowess he has used his art to express his feelings about technology, war, and the environment since he was a student in the 1960s. Tightly controlled and highly technically crafted, his work has been exhibited across the globe and in over 70 museum collections including the Smithsonian, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and museums throughout Europe and Asia. He has received multiple awards, is a Guggenheim Fellow and has taught and lectured in more than 350 venues internationally since 1975.
