De Lille Cellars, Chaleur Blanc, Columbia Valley, Washington, 2022
Chaleur Blanc showcases Sauvignon Blanc in its youth, presenting a beautiful pale yellow color with hints of green and aromas of golden hay, grapefruit, and a whisper of tropical fruit.
El Coto Gran Reserva, Rioja (Tempranillo), Rioja, Spain, 2012
A blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano
This dark, relatively tight-knit Rioja proves that the Gran Reserva category doesn't just indicate the supremely well-aged, relaxed and reposeful style of Rioja, but can also serve to draw drinkers' attention to outstanding wines of density and tenacity which still have a way to run along their potential aging trajectories. Look out for dark, urgent fruits here sweetened and back-lit by cunningly angled oak, with intense, deep, fresh and searching flavors in which the 10% of Graciano seems to be working overtime. A Rioja of innate drama.
Brooks and Bull Chardonnay, Walla Walla
Lime and kiwi meet butter, peach pie and nashi pear, trailed by flint and notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle and brioche. Finding the balance between a crisp white wine and a kiss of new oak and rich butter. This chardonnay is the best of both worlds.
Avennia Oliane Yakima Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2019
Oliane is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, barrel fermented using native yeast and bottled unfined. Our intent for this wine is to clearly express the richness and complexity this noble grape is capable of in Washington. On the nose, this wine features white nectarine, guava, Meyer lemon, newly mown hay, hints of toasted bread and sun-dried river stones. Very balanced and energetic on the palate, with bright grapefruit, barely ripe peach, lemon oil, and a lively, almost savory, minerality. The finish is crisp and lengthy, showing a lot of depth and concentration. While this is showing great to enjoy any time, it also ages very well for 5-8 years." - Chris Peterson, Winemaker
Chateau Ste Michelle Merlot Columbia Valley 2015
The wine offers aromas of black cherry, leather and spice with layers of rich dark red fruit flavors and a long, smooth, sweet finish. A touch of Syrah adds a jammy fruit character.
G3 Merlot Columbia Valley 2016
Possesses a smooth, elegant mouthfeel and richness with aromas and flavors of black cherry, cranberry, spice, and cocoa. The balanced structure supports a long finish of dark fruit accented by notes of cedar and toast. This wine's elegant balance pairs well with poultry and pork dishes.
