Virginia Ballenger is the FIRST of many actions. A first Native
American inspired to design and fashion Navajo traditional clothing
and accessories. She is glass-ceiling breaker. Virginia owns her own
store. She has designed her world-wide name brand now recognized
in native fashion universally. Ms. Ballenger has shown her work in
Yakutsk Russia (3 times), Paris France, and Asia. A first exquisite
designer to place repeatedly at the Annual Santa Fe Indian Market
seven years in a row with First Place in her fashion, and has won her
share of Best of Show! Her work is in permanent collection at the
Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian in New York
City, New York. Her work is beautiful and classy.
She donated this stunning table runner to our event. The beautiful
construction primarily designed in the stunning color of - canyon rust.
The colorful runner tells a story of Navajo daily life sewn in fine detail
sure to spark conversation and admiration. Made of cotton with a
chocolate rayon ruffle this piece is unique.
