You may be familiar with the water law of the west, but have you had delicious cabs from both regions?
Arizona v. California (Cabernet, 2018 - 2021)
In this package, you'll receive:
2019 Arizona Stronghold Bonita Springs Vineyard
From the Stronghold Archive Series, and grown in Wilcox, Arizona. Stronghold is a winery started by Maynard James Keenan of the band Tool and Eric Glomski. Maynard was instrumental to the growth of the wine industry in Arizona. Although he left Stronghold to create some new labels, they are still one of the best produces of Cab in the region and at very reasonable prices.
2021 Coronado Vineyards
Another wine grown in Wilcox, Coronado was sold during the COVID pandemic to Roxanne Hicks, of the Navajo Nation, and her husband Doajo Hicks. Coronado is quickly becoming one of the favorite wineries in Arizona. The Hicks' have a deep passion for wine and the juice in the bottle is the proof.
2021 Cade Napa Valley
I like to refer to this one as the little brother to Howell Mountain Cade. The winery, owned by Gavin Newsome, is actually at the top of Howell Mountain in Napa with a separate exclusive tasting room nearby. I call this the little brother, as these grape are sourced from down in the valley, but it's still a tasty wine.
2018 O'Shaugnessy
This is absolutely one of my favorite wineries, vintages, and sourced from my favorite area of Napa in Howell Mountain. Grown in the highest part of the Mountain, the grapes generally stay cool but are subject to intense heat, resulting much more flavorful and intense juice. I had a hard time parting with this one, but it's now yours to enjoy. Cin Cin!
Also included is an Eighth Generation throw called the "Snaggin' Throw Blanket" featuring John Isaiah Pepion's (Blackfeet/Piikani) signature ledger art, this vibrant cotton throw is a tribute to the Native slang, "snag" or "snaggin'." This tongue-in-cheek term can be used as a verb to describe the act of getting a date or a partner, or as a noun to describe your partner-if you're lucky enough to have snagged one already!
