The date for this special event will be agreed upon between the successful bidder and the donors. On that date, the donors will join you and your guests (total party of 16) and bring these eight outstanding bottles of wine from their cellar to your home or the restaurant of your choice for a tasting or dinner to accompany these outstanding wines. The location and the food to accompany these wines are your responsibility and your choice. The donors will be happy to consult.

The donors currently wish to remain anonymous, but the husband has been practicing law in the Roanoke Valley for more than 50 years and they have previously donated wine and wine tastings to Mill Mountain Theater's Cork & Curtain, Bradley Free Clinic, Legal Aid Society of the Roanoke Valley and Blue Ridge Legal Services.

Because of the persistence of COVID-19, the donors' ages, and the fact that one of the donors has a compromised immune system, the event will have to be held al fresco.

"Wine has always been a way of life for Luc Morlet. Born in Epernay, France to a fifth- generation winegrower family, Luc grew up working on his family's Pinot Noir and Chardonnay domaine in Champagne.

A Master's graduate of Å'nology from Université des Sciences de Reims, Luc also holds a Viticulture degree from Ecole Viticole de Champagne, as well as an MBA in Wine Business from the Burgundy School of Business.

With over 30 vintages under his belt, and with his own zest for innovation, the wines of Morlet Family Vineyards reflect Luc's continuous pursuit of the ultimate quality through the expression of terroir and the craft of l'art d'assemblage.
