The detail on this koala's prints are amazing!

From the Keeper:

As you can see in this print they are the only non-primate with fingerprints close enough to humans that they have been confused with human prints at crime scenes.

Cobar's fav food is Immature Globulus eucalyptus otherwise known as Blue Gum found all over our zoo but especially that walk from walkabout to bears.

He doesn't like to show really any affection to keepers but definitely lets us know when he is annoyed with an ear flick or even a nibble.

As a male he has a scent gland in the middle of his chest instead of the pouch lower down on the abdomen that the female koalas have.

They have vertical pupils which help with letting in light and depth perception.

They have cute double thumbs (really its 2 toes go one way and 3 go the other) to help them hold onto tree branches and aide in climbing. You can see those in the left side of the print.

They have fused toes (#2&3) on their feet all the way up to the nail. This keeps those nails right next to each other to act like a comb. You can see that on the right side of the print.

Koalas don't have visible tails. That would get in the way of sitting. Instead they have a cartilaginous pad that comes over the lower spine so it doesn't hurt to sit in the fork of a tree for hours on end.

Print is on card stock paper framed to 12"x15"
