About The Big Dig

Join us for The Big Dig, an exciting community event where you can operate heavy machinery like excavators and scissor lifts alongside construction professionals! This family-friendly event offers more than just a unique hands-on experience. Enjoy a day filled with games, music, and food trucks, all while supporting a great cause.

Since its inception in 2021, The Big Dig of the National Capital Area has raised over $300K to combat pediatric cancer. This year's proceeds will continue to support pediatric cancer research grants through the American Cancer Society and provide funding for Child Life specialists in the Pediatric Oncology Department at Inova Children's Hospital.

Come for the fun, stay for the cause, and make a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer!
