Lee Stuurmans is going to be a dad soon, and you know what that means; it's time to straighten up and fly right, it's time to write a normal artist's statement that's parsable to normal readers. Well, if you ask Lee Stuurmans, which I certainly didn't, he'll be the first to tell you that when you put your mind to it, anything is parsable. I'm told Lee Stuurmans has no regrets and makes no apologies for the previous or any forthcoming dad jokes. In spring 2024 Lee Stuurmans indicated that he believed it was his birthright to subject anyone around him to his noxious observations no matter how thinly stretched the comedic premise. As for me, I'm committed to exploring new avenues as I see my efforts over the last decade have been largely wasted on Lee Stuurmans. It's a strange thing to look back on a wasted decade. You don't start out a decade thinking it'll all be a waste, no one could operate under that assumption. No, you start out like anyone would, full of cautious optimism. Sure you may see red flags right away, but maybe you're just being paranoid. Running into a lot of obstacles? No problem, I mean, hard work and perseverance got you this far right? Right, except one day you look in the mirror and see that hard work and perseverance have cruelly absconded with your youthful bloom and now you're left wondering what the hell happened. I'll tell you what happened, Lee Stuurmans. That's what happened. You'll see.
