You are bidding on a 2 to 3-hour boat ride on the Hudson River for two people. Glenn Hoagland will team up with Clearwater Executive Director David Toman to provide interpretive and historical information about the Hudson as you enjoy the ride.

While on board, refreshments and snacks will be served, and David will describe all the successes and impacts of Clearwater's work over the years up and down the river. Glenn will point out preserved land and other cultural and historic landmarks.

Glenn has been boating his entire life, having grown up on the tidal Delaware River, where his mother sailed her catamaran and his father cruised in his powerboat and crewed on dayliners out of Philadelphia. Formerly Land Preservation Director at Scenic Hudson, Glenn has been boating on the Hudson for 40 years. He recently downsized to a 20-foot recreational passenger boat that is comfortable but has a lower carbon footprint than his previous vessel. Glenn is certified in boating safety by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and New York State/NASBLA. Glenn's boat is also fully ensured and safety-equipped, and life jackets are available for passengers desiring one. Scenery along the ride will include the Great Estates Scenic and Historic District, riverfront parks, working lighthouses, ecologically rich shorelines, islands, bays, tributaries, and other important landscapes.
