Train, Riverboat & Trolley Fun Pack consists of the following items:

1) Winner will receive four (4) tickets/passes to the Essex Steam Train & Riverboat for a 2-1/2 hour excursion.

• Monday - Friday in Coach seating.
• Not valid for weekends or special events.

Essex Steam Train & Riverboat strives to keep alive the rich mechanical, industrial, and transportation heritage of our state through the continual operation of their vintage steam and diesel locomotives and passenger coaches, as well as the operation & maintenance of the facilities and infrastructure that support them.

This narrated journey begins at historic Essex Station and then meanders through the countryside aboard vintage rail cars pulled by an authentic steam locomotive. At Deep River Landing, board the Becky Thatcher riverboat for a cruise along the CT River.

2) Winner will receive four (4) one-day passes to The Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven, CT for the 2024-2025 season.

The Shoreline Trolley Museum is the home of the oldest continuously running suburban trolley line in the U.S.! It was founded to preserve the unique heritage of an endangered species - the trolley car - and today boasts a collection of nearly 100 vintage vehicles as well as other artifacts and documents from the trolley era. Come and enjoy a living, breathing experience riding historic, restored trolleys through scenic surroundings!

This leisurely three-mile adventure takes you away from the hustle and bustle of modern-day life. Hear the sounds of steel on steel as you smell the sweet aroma of the shoreline salt marsh and view wildlife such as the majestic osprey.

Don't forget to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at our riverbank picnic grove. It's a journey back in time you will not soon forget!

You do not need to be present at Gala to win. The item(s) are available for pick up at the Gala. Items can be picked up at the Habitat CFC office at 1785 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT 06615 weekdays between 9 am and 5 pm beginning 4/8/24. If the winner is unable to pick the items up from the Habitat, they can be shipped at the winner's expense.
