About the Club: Baltusrol Golf Club

The Baltusrol Golf Club is a private 36-hole golf club in the eastern United States, located in Springfield, New Jersey, about twenty miles (30 km) west of New York City. It was founded 129 years ago in 1895 by Louis Keller.

In 1985, Baltusrol became the first club to have hosted both the U.S. Open and Women's U.S. Open on two different courses. Both courses were originally designed by A. W. Tillinghast in 1918. The club has been the site of seven U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships.

In 2005, the club was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In 2014, it was further designated a National Historic Landmark in recognition of its importance to Tillinghast's career as a course designer.

The 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship was the 69th Women's PGA Championship. It was played June 22-25, 2023 at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey. Known as the LPGA Championship through 2014, it was the second of five major championships on the LPGA Tour during the 2023 season.

It was won by Yin Ruoning with an aggregate of 276, eight under par. She finished one stroke ahead of Yuka Saso.

The 2029 PGA Championship will be staged on Baltusrol's famed Lower Course, which is an A.W. Tillinghast design.

Since opening in 1922, the Lower Course has hosted 10 major golf events, including seven professional major championships. This will be Baltusrol's third PGA Championship.
