This lot includes one bottle of 1986 and two bottles of 1989 Chateau Lynch Bages, plus three bottles of Chateau Gruaud Larose from the 1962, 1986, and 1982 vintages. The 1986 Lynch Bages has a knockout bouquet, classic claret style with a dark plum/ruby red color, velvety tannins, and a Pauillac bouquet of cedar-wood, black currants, and sweet cherries. The 1989 is complex, with a silky palate entry, superb balance, and a long finish. The 1962, 1986, and 1982 Chateau Gruaud Larose vintages exemplify the lasting appeal of great French Bordeaux. Chateau Gruaud Larose, in the Saint-Julien appellation, is classified as one of only 15 Deuxiemes Crus.
