The Piedmont area of Italy, west of Milan, grows Barolo and Nebbiolo di Barbaresco grapes. After retiring from his role as a professor at Akron University, John Bee traveled to the Piedmont and began importing wines from some of the best of the small producers in the Piedmont. This Three-liter bottle is from the Carlo Giacosa Winery, which has been run by the family for four generations. This is a full-bodied wine, with ripe red fruit, solid tannic structure, excellent balance. ,These wines need at least a decade for the tannins to soften, the flavors to blend. It is now ready to drink - and will remain so for at least a decade. From importer John Bee's private collection.
