Carpe Diem! This is your seize-the-moment opportunity to take home the excitement of Inspire Napa Valley in liquid form. There will only be one barrel produced in the world of this unique, specially made 2024 Napa Valley Red, handcrafted by the founding winemaker of Dominus Estate and founder and winemaker of AD VIVUM, Chris Phelps, and his good friend (and one of the most notable proteges of Michel Rolland), vintner and consulting winemaker Jean Hoefliger! Only 25 cases of this extraordinary Cabernet blend will exist, and they are solely available to Inspire Napa Valley guests, so tonight's your night to get the once-in-a-lifetime chance to cellar a wine that only supporters of Inspire Napa Valley will ever have access to.

About Chris Phelps Chris Phelps was born into a wine-loving family. Phelps completed a degree in enology at U.C. Davis, then studied viticulture and enology at the University of Bordeaux. He was selected by his future mentors, Christian Moueix and enologist Jean-Claude Berrouet, of Chateau Petrus and Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix, to direct winemaking at Chateau des Laurets in Puisseguin-St. Emilion for the 1982 harvest. After extensive training at Chateau Petrus and other Moueix properties on the Right Bank, Phelps spent 12 years as the founding winemaker at Dominus Estate, the Napa Valley property owned by Moueix. After Dominus, Phelps made the wines at Caymus Vineyards before starting his consulting business. His winemaking experiences in both Napa and Bordeaux led him to create what he now calls "New World wines with an Old-World sensibility." Since 2007, Phelps has produced Ad Vivum, his single vineyard Napa Valley Cabernet sourced from the Sleeping Lady Vineyard in Yountville, California.

About Jean Hoefliger One of Napa's renowned consultant enologists is Bordeaux's Michel Rolland, who collaborates with Screaming Eagle, Harlan Estate, Dalla Valle, Bryant Family, Realm, and others. Rolland has mentored many top winemakers in Napa Valley, some of whom have become consultant winemakers themselves. One of the most notable protégés is Jean Hoefliger, born and raised in Switzerland, where he gained winery experience at his godfather's estate. He later moved to California, working at Michel Schlumberger and Hartford Family in Sonoma, then in Bordeaux and South Africa at Chateau Carbonnieux and Meerlust. After studying enology and viticulture at Switzerland's Federal Winemaking School of Changins and science at the Maturite Federale, Jean returned to Bordeaux to make wine at Chateau Lynch-Bages. He then returned to California, where he spent five years as winemaker for Newton Vineyard from 2001 to 2005. Joining the Alpha Omega team in 2006, he was their winemaker while expanding his global consulting business. In early 2021, he transitioned from winemaking to focus on consulting clients.
