Join EAM's Director John McKinnon on a two private studio visits. Up to ten guests will have the opportunity to meet and hear from husband and wife artists Nate Young and Caroline Kent. The side-by-side studios, located in Chicago's West Garfield Park, provide the perfect introduction to what is happening in contemporary art today. Young is represented by Monique Meloche Gallery where his 2017 solo show was reviewed in Artforum and several works were acquired by the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History in Culture in DC. Kent's work is featured in "Out of Easy Reach" a travelling exhibition of female artists of color exploring abstraction at the DePaul Art Museum, Gallery 400 at UIC, and Stony Island Bank. She will also have work on view at Monique Meloche Gallery in a new location this summer, opening on June 9th. Young and Kent moved to Chicago last year from Minneapolis where they ran a not-for-profit art space, Bindery Projects.

Date and time of visit dependent on availability of artists-secure parking in gated lot is available.

Must be scheduled in 2018 at a mutually convenient time-limited to ten guests total, all travel arrangements are the responsibility of the purchaser.
