Situated in the heart of Napa Valley in picturesque Rutherford, ZD Wines is a favorite destination for folks who enjoy world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Your visit will include a comprehensive private tour of the cellar, directed by John Buckey, National Sales Manager (and uncle to Cove student John Foley). There you will enjoy an expert tasting focused on their reserve wines maturing in barrel. After the tour, experience a seated tasting of their current reserve wines, as well as a bottle of Abacus, a legendary Cabernet Sauvignon of which only twelve barrels were produced. You'll finish your tasting with a decadent chocolate truffle, a fitting cork to an unbelievable day.

On Saturday, you'll be treated to two picture-perfect and palate-rewarding experiences. First up. will be a private tour and tasting at Volker Eisele Family Estate, situated within the cooler Chiles Valley District on a history-rich vineyard dating back to the 1870s. You'll sip complex, robust creations amidst serene green hills and pastures in the Valley's perfect Cabernet climate. Next up you'll head to a private tour and tasting at Truchard Vineyards. Located in the foothills of the Mayacama mountain range and Mount Veeder, Truchard's 12 different grape varieties make it one of the most diverse estate vineyards in Napa Valley. Your knowledgeable guide will take you from the tasting room to the gorgeous vineyard. Finish off with a cheese plate in the cave, while you sip current releases and older library wines.
