This Community Art Project is an art therapy collaboration project between Providence patients, residents and families, and OCAD artists/students. Through our Therapeutic Recreationists, Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) students have been working with patients and families to create paintings on the theme of the Tree of Life. These canvasses, when joined together, forms a large mural that represents the Providence community. The result is a triptych entitled "Stronger Together". It is a digitally created painting printed on canvas, through a process of scanning the original square canvases and then digitally adjusting them onto a painted image of a Tree of Life. This effort shows how one piece at a time can build together into a greater whole, and one by one, make a difference. Value $4,000.
